I will leave for an 8-month placement in September, as part of my program. This placement will be putting into practice of the knowledge I have acquired throughout my time in university. After a long wait, my class had a meeting today to find out our placements.
AND after waiting for this for two and a half years, I found out that… I have to wait a little longer. Welcome to International Development, folks!
I am hopeful that I will be placed at Gantsi Craft Trust in Ghanzi, Botswana. The organization empowers the indigenous San people and to create sustainable livelihoods in craft production. Once my placement is confirmed (next week, fingers crossed!) I will have a better idea of what I will be doing for 8 months!
